Born into a football-loving family, I grew up around the game and all that comes with it. When I started raising my own family, I discovered a new version of football that completely pulled me in. Flag football was not just a lighter version of the game I already knew. It was its own game. It was fast, creative, still evolving, and open to new ideas. That is part of what makes it so exciting. From kindergartners to adults, from rec leagues to competitive play, flag football creates a place for all kinds of players and all kinds of coaches.

The more I coached, the more I realized something important. Great coaching is not just about having a few good plays. It is about helping young players buy in. It is about creating structure they can trust, practices that make sense, and game days that feel calm instead of chaotic. When young players know what is expected, when they feel seen, and when they trust their coach, they respond differently. They listen better. They play harder. They grow in confidence.

What started as a simple way to keep my own coaching organized eventually became Flag Forward. I built it because I know what it feels like to care deeply, want to do a great job, and still feel like you need a clearer system. Flag Forward is here to help coaches lead with purpose and raise up strong young players who grow into reliable, confident adults.

I am a USA Football Certified Youth Flag Football Coach, and I take that responsibility seriously. I spend a great deal of time studying the game because I truly love it. I enjoy breaking down how plays develop, how defenses react, and how practice structure shapes young players. The details matter. When those details are coached clearly, they create calm, confident teams that know how to move together.

That is exactly why I created Empowered Coaches, Empowered Players. It is designed to give coaches a real head start. Not just with plays, but with player buy-in, practice flow, game day structure, and the kind of steady leadership that helps young players trust you and respond to you. This is not about surface-level hype. It is about giving you the tools, clarity, and confidence to coach in a way that builds better teams and better young people.
